Celler 9+ (Tarragona)
Celler 9+ is Moisès Virgili’s personal project at his family vineyards at La Nou de Gaià (Tarragona).
With a long career in the winemaking in places like Chile, South Africa, Priorat, Terra Alta or Penedès among others, in 2010 Moisès started to work in organic farming his own 28 hectares; 12 of them are dedicated to vines, olive trees are 3 hectares, 5 hectares are devoted to seed and the remaining 8 hectares are devoted to the cultivation of carob trees. In vineyards he cultivates autochthon varieties such as Cartoixà (which is known as Xarel.lo) and Cartoixà Vermell in whites, and Garnatxa, Sumoll and Ull de Llebre in reds.
Beyond the organic farming, the Mèdol range is completely natural, pure, and emotional.
Moisès philosophy is that “the future will be environmentally friendly and sustainable … or will not be”.
